One of the best webcomics I've read. NSFW, but worth a look if you have the time. One of my friends dubbed it "a little weird, and almost too confrontational," and I find myself agreeing. It's beautiful, sad, strange, and too close to home.

So anyway, I really despise the administration at Marist.
Their ability to overturn any decision, or in this case, petition from the students is completely patronizing. It's absolutely ridiculous that every poster on campus MUST be approved by college activities, individually stamped, and hung only in specified locations. It's even more ridiculous that we can't change the policy!

I did finally manage to put a knitting group together; through Ravelry no less! I am SO proud of myself for meeting with people IRL that I've only ever chatted with on the internet. Thus far the group is myself and 2 Vasserites, but I have managed to convince a fellow Marist student to come along next weekend. Now I won't be the only person there that didn't go to a private HS, middle and elementary school, score!

My favorite part of the group is that 3 hours of knitting + 4 hours of Anime Society in the evening lends itself to about 1 FO a week. Well, maybe 1 FO every other week if I want to be honest. This week alone though, I'll have produced 3 FOs: 1 Slouchy Spring Beret in Louet Gems Worsted (Fern Green), 1 Pair Cigar Gloves in Caron Simply Soft (Black), and 1 Pair Chevron Mittens in Caron Simply Soft. The Beret is my favorite of the 3, I've been wearing it everywhere and Louet Gems is now my favourite yarn. It so soft and squishy! Best of all, it's superwash! (OMG Superwash wool makes my life! Ugh, I need more yarn... Rhinebeck, you are so far off in the future ;__;) NonCon was the real reason for my sudden burst of knitting productivity. Sitting around helping run the Anime room for 12 hours kind of inspires one to keep their hands occupied. I'm happy though, it was a busy weekend in many ways, but fun.

And to conclude I have two questions for all of you:
1) a) Are any of you going to ROFLCon? b) and do you have any advice on where to stay?
2) Is anyone interested (or knows anyone interested) in purchasing a corset? (Fallen Angel Fashions/Brute Force Leather size 22)
